Springfield, Mo. — Evangel has made it easy for alumni, family and friends of the University to give online, safely and securely.
By going to www.evangel.edu/giving, you will find details for giving online, through the mail, or by phone.
“Thursday evening, Nov. 8, our student callers began telling alumni that online giving was now available through Evangel’s Web page,” said Dennis Whaley, director of university relations.
Within an hour, Kenneth Bouton of Flower Mound, Texas, logged the first online gift to Evangel.
Ken had served as a student caller in 1982 when Evangel was challenged to raise $1 million for the chapel.
“Ken remembered how important alumni gifts were back then,” said Whaley. “He was pleased that he could now make a substantial contribution to Evangel with the ease and convenience of doing so online.”
Last summer, Evangel received a $1.2 million challenge grant, with the stipulation that we must raise the remaining money for the building within one year.
At this point, we need to raise an additional $3 million by July 2008 in order to qualify for this grant.
The J.E. and L.E. Mabee Foundation has previously made similar challenge grants to Evangel—for Academic Building I (Zimmerman Hall), the Mabee Student Fitness Center and the Barnett Fine Arts Center.
Before the end of the year, would you please join the Bouton family and help us meet the Mabee Foundation challenge grant?
You may even be able to double or triple your dollars, if your corporation or business is listed on the matching fund page.
To give, please go to www.evangel.edu/giving.
