Springfield, Mo. — The Evangel University chapter of the Student-Missouri State Teachers Association hosted a Christmas party for neighborhood children on Dec. 8 in the Crusader Hall conference room.
The S-MSTA club, made up of education majors, uses its dues to provide Christmas gifts for the children and bags of groceries for their parents.
The party includes refreshments, a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus, music, games, and the telling of The Christmas Story.
“The education department has hosted this Christmas tradition for more than 20 years,” said Dr. Marilyn Kingsriter, S-MSTA faculty adviser. “This is an excellent way for our students to, again this year, show the spirit of giving.”
