Springfield, Mo. — Evangel University will be hosting WorldChangers Missions Week Feb. 19-22. The week will include themed chapel services and a commissioning banquet for missions teams.
On Tuesday, Feb. 19, the Rev. David Wagner, director of Builders International, will speak in a chapel service.
In the Wednesday chapel service, Dr. JoAnn Butrin, a 1975 Evangel alumna and director of AGWM International Ministries, will speak.
The Rev. Randy Young, director of Book of Hope Response Teams, will speak in Friday’s chapel. All chapel services begin at 10 a.m.
A spring break missions teams commissioning banquet will take place Friday from 6-8 p.m. in the Crusader Dining Hall. Young and his interns will share how their short-term missions experiences have transformed their lives. Tickets for the banquet are $9.50.
WorldChangers is a “student organization whose mission is to help EU students connect their particular gifts and talents with God’s mission to reach all people with his message of love,” said the Rev. John Plake, WorldChangers adviser and missionary-in-residence at Evangel.
