Three seniors receive Citigroup Teacher Excellence Scholarships

Sara Allen, Jeremy Grisbee and Lindsay Hull

Springfield, Mo. — Evangel seniors Sara Allen, Jeremy Grisbee and Lindsay Hull are each recipients of a $3,400 Citigroup Teacher Excellence Scholarship made available through Missouri Colleges Fund.

Allen, daughter of Jon and Lisa Beam of Fair Grove, Mo., is an elementary/middle school education major. She is also a 2004 graduate of Hillcrest High School in Springfield.

Grisbee, son of Marcus and Nancy Grisbee of Sugar Land, Texas, is a mathematics education major. He is also a 2003 graduate of Austin High School in Sugar Land.

Hull, daughter of Stephen and Debra Hull of Peru, Ind., is a mathematics education major. She is also a 2003 graduate of Peru High School.

Citigroup Foundation is underwriting the scholarships through a generous donation made to Missouri Colleges Fund.

Each of the 16 MCF member schools received funds to award the scholarships, based on need, to students pursuing a career in teaching.

Evangel University is the national Assemblies of God college of arts, sciences and professions. Evangel holds accreditation with the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education, the National Association of Schools of Music and the Council on Social Work Education.

Dr. Robert H. Spence is president and Dr. Glenn H. Bernet is vice president for academic affairs and dean of the University.
