Evangel leads the series, 48-22 and won the last meeting, 84-66 in Marshall on Jan. 12 of this season. The 2006-07 Missouri Valley Vikings defeated Evangel twice during that season: MV won 70-67 in Springfield on Jan. 8 and won 83-67 in Marshall on Feb. 12. EU had won the previous seven meetings.
In Ashcroft Center, Evangel enjoys a 31-6 series advantage against Missouri Valley, however, the Vikings defeated EU 70-67 on Jan. 28, 2007 of last season to end a 14-game home winning streak by Evangel vs. Missouri Valley. Prior to last season’s loss, Evangel hadn’t lost at home to Missouri Valley since Feb. 9, 1995 (81-63).

- Evangel’s two conference losses are to Central Methodist (59-55, Jan. 24) and to MidAmerica Nazarene (93-85, OT, Feb. 7).
- Missouri Valley and Evangel are two of three teams to hand MidAmerica Nazarene its only three losses of the season: Missouri Valley won on Jan. 7 (79-78), Benedictine won on Jan. 10 (74-70), Evangel won on Jan. 28 (79-65). All three losses were MNU road trips.
