Springfield, Mo. — Author Christa Ann Banister will be speaking at Evangel University Monday, Mar. 17, at 7:30 p.m.

This Evangel Artist Series event is free and open to the public; however, space is limited. It will be held in the Fireside Room, which is located on the second floor of the Student Union.

She will also be available for a book signing from 7 – 7:30 p.m. today in the Fireside Room and tomorrow from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. in the Bookstore.

Banister will speak to the audience about her novel “Around the World in 80 Dates: Confessions of a Christian Serial Dater” and will also answer questions from the audience.

Banister’s book is a humorous take on being Christian and single. Filled with wit, real issues, and quirky characters, the book encourages singles to never settle for less than God’s best.

Banister has worked as a music critic and freelance writer for various Christian publications including CCM Magazine, Crosswalk.com, Christian Single and ChristianityToday.com.
