Crusaders host William Jewell in HAAC Championship

Evangel University men’s basketball team hosts William Jewell in the Heart of America Athletic Conference tournament championship game tonight at 7 p.m. at the Ashcroft Center.

Tickets are $8 for reserved, $5 for general admission and $ 3 for non-Evangel students.

The Crusaders advanced to the championship game with an 89-84 overtime win over Central Methodist in the semifinals. William Jewell, seeded fourth in the tournament, upset first seeded MidAmerica Nazarene 80-72 in Olathe Friday.

Monday’s game marks the third consecutive trip to the conference championship game for the Crusaders. They will aim for their fourth conference championship in team history tonight.

The game will be broadcast live on Springfield radio station ESPN 1400 AM and on the Internet through http://www.allinbroadcasting.com/. Pregame coverage starts at 6:45 p.m. (Central Time).
