Springfield, Mo. — Dr. Bryan Sanders, professor of legal studies and government at Evangel University, has been invited to speak at the 2008 Christian Pre-Law Conference. The three-day conference will be held March 13-15 at Regent University School of Law in Virginia Beach, Va.

Sanders will speak on the “Academic Mission” during the Friday morning session. He was invited to speak because of his 18 years of successful experience in preparing students for law school and helping them discern their calling to the practice of law. “Evangel University has earned a respected track record from law schools across the nation for preparing students for their law school experience,” Sanders said.

“The conference is a great opportunity for advisers to learn how to integrate a Christian worldview into their curriculum,” he said. “There will be sessions with law school professors and law students and time provided for advisers to gather and reflect on how they might best train future attorneys.”

While in Virginia Beach, Sanders will also be one of the judges for the American Bar Association “Representation in Mediation Competition.” The competition is designed to acquaint law students with advocacy skills in alternative dispute resolution processes, specifically mediation.

Sanders holds a Juris Doctor degree from the Oral Roberts University, O.W. Coburn School of Law. He has directed the Legal Studies program at Evangel University since 1990 and provides consulting services in Alternative Dispute Resolution to churches, businesses and law firms.

Sanders is among those recently profiled in the distinctive 30th anniversary Marquis Who’s Who in American Law.
