Kara StantonStanton to perform senior voice recital

Springfield, Mo. — Kara Stanton, daughter of Michael and Kathy Carter of Duncan, Okla., will perform her senior voice recital at Evangel University Friday, April 4, at 7:30 p.m. in the Barnett Fine Arts Recital Hall.

There is no charge for admission, and the public is invited to attend.

Highlights of the program will include Ich Folge Dir by J.S. Bach, Le Violette by Alessandro Scarlatti, O Mio Babbino Caro by Giacomo Puccini, Zueignung by Richard Strauss, Heidenröslein by Franz Schubert, Allerseelen by Richard Strauss, Steal Me Sweet Thief by Gian Carlo Menotti, Ici-bas by Gabriel Fauré, Elle a fui, la tourterelle by Jacques Offenbach, and song selections by Ned Rorem.

She will close the recital with Good-Bye (Addio) by Francesco Paolo Tosti.

Piano accompaniment will be provided by Doree Donaldson.

Stanton, a student of Dr. Richard Honea, is pursuing a bachelor of science in music at Evangel.
