Four students showcased in senior art exhibit

Springfield, Mo. — The Evangel University art department will showcase the work of four art students in the annual Senior Art Exhibition, April 4-30 in the Fine Art and Design Gallery.

An opening reception will take place Friday, April 4 from 7-9 p.m. in the Barnett Fine Arts Center. Refreshments will be available and guests can meet the artists.

The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public. Due to construction on campus, visitors should enter from Pythian Street and park in front of the Barnett Fine Arts Center, which faces Glenstone Avenue.

The artists include:

• Josh Carter, art major from Springfield, Mo.
• Miranda Dement, art and elementary education major from Centerville, Mo.
• Karen Domingo, art and electronic media major from Wahiawa, Hawaii.
• Christina Bingham Steele, art major from Craig, Colo.
  

“There are some good examples of artwork from the areas of painting, sculpture, printmaking and graphic design,” said Stan Maples, professor of art. “The exhibition will be a good example of the talent from our art students at Evangel.”
