Dr. Martin MittelstadtProfessor delivered annual lectureship at Messiah College

Springfield, Mo. — Dr. Martin Mittelstadt, associate professor of New Testament at Evangel University, delivered the annual Schrag Lectureship at Messiah College in Grantham, Pa. on Tuesday, April 8.

Mittelstadt presented two essays: “My Life as a Mennocostal: A Personal and Theological Narrative” and “Spirit and Peace in Luke-Acts: Possibilities for Pentecostal and Anabaptist Dialogue.” These papers constitute part of the work he has done during his spring sabbatical.

Messiah College was founded by the Brethren in Christ, an Anabaptist Christian denomination with roots in the Mennonite church.

Mittelstadt earned his Ph.D. from Marquette University in Milwaukee. He joined the Evangel faculty in 2000.
