Colorado Setter Signs to Play on 2008 Volleyball Team

Lauren O’Donnell, a 5-foot-7 setter from Arvada, Colo., has inked her letter-of-intent to play on the 2008 Evangel University volleyball team. O’Donnell is currently a senior at Faith Christian High School in Arvada.

As a senior, O’Donnell was a first team Colorado Coaches Association All-State selection. She was also named to the 2007 Rocky Mountain News/Denver Post Division 3A All-State team as an honorable mention pick. O’Donnell was a 2007 first team All-Metro League selection for the second year in a row and was honored as the 2007 Metro League Senior of the Year. O’Donnell finished her career at Faith Christian ranked among the top five all-time setters in assists by the Colorado High School Athletic Association.

At the end of her junior season, O’Donnell was awarded second team all-state honors by the Colorado Coaches Association and first team All-Metro League plaudits. As a junior in 2006, O’Donnell set new Colorado High School Athletic Association records for most assists in a match and in a season.
