Student media win awards at state competition

Springfield, Mo. — Evangel’s student media won a total of 21 awards at the Missouri Collegiate Media Association’s annual conference in Joplin, Mo., on April 12.

The Lance

Evangel’s student newspaper, The Lance, received 16 awards in Division 3. Entries submitted were from the spring 2007 and fall 2007 semesters. Alumna Brittany (Breidenbach) Carlson served as editor in the spring; senior Holly Bass served as editor in the fall. Melinda Booze, assistant professor of communication, is the faculty adviser.
