Springfield, Mo — Evangel University has met the certification requirements for the fifth consecutive year as one of the “Best Christian Places to Work in the United States.”
The survey, administered by the Best Christian Workplaces Institute (BCWI), involved 11,869 employees in 124 organizations across North America to identify great workplaces with a Christian mission and/or values.
The list of organizations awarded certification was announced at the Christian Leadership Alliance Conference, and was published on Christianity Today International’s online magazine.
“Our research indicates leaders in these organizations demonstrate high levels of character, competence and compassion, while employees show high levels of commitment,” said Al Lopus, president of the Best Christian Workplaces Institute (BCWI).
“Certification also identifies organizations as good investments for donors and volunteers,” he said.
The Best Christian Workplaces Institute has surveyed more than 80,000 employees across North America in the past eight years. Fifty-six businesses and institutions were certified this year, including just seven in the Higher Education category.
BCWI is a research based organizational and human resources consulting firm based on Mercer Island, Wash. Their purpose is to serve faith-based organizations by creating processes of discovery, facilitating organizational effectiveness and encouraging practices that build healthy workplaces.
