SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Seven Evangel University faculty and two staff members received special recognition during the Assemblies of God General Council, on Aug. 5, 2009, in Orlando, Fla.
The Alliance for Assemblies of God Higher Education presented Educator Awards and Administrator Awards to administrators and professors who have rendered outstanding service to the Assemblies of God Fellowship as reflected by their commitment and their years of service at AG academic institutions.
Those who received awards are as follows:
Educator Award (for 35 years of service)
• Dr. Robert Turnbull, professor of French
Educator Award (for 25 years of service)
• Lynn Bowen, associate professor of physical education; head coach for women’s track and cross-country
• Dr. Becky Huechteman, professor of education
• Marilyn Quigley, associate professor of English
• Dr. Laynah Rogers, director of academic support center
• Susan Smith, associate professor of music
• Sharon Wilkins, associate professor of music
Administrator Award (for 20 years of service)
