SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Evangel University students and staff will be volunteering their time during Make a Difference Day, Saturday, Oct. 24, from 8 a.m. to noon.
The event is being sponsored by LifeWorks: The Center for Leadership and Life Calling, CROSSwalk student ministries, Evangel Student Senate, the Evangel Activities Board, and the Social Work Program.
Students will have a kick-off meeting at 8 a.m. in the Joust and then will leave in teams to assist various agencies around the city. Partnerships include Convoy of Hope, Humane Society, Watershed Project of the Ozarks, Center for the Blind, and the Kitchen.
“Preparing students to serve the church and the community is part of the mission of LifeWorks,” said Donna Trower, administrative assistant. “We express our commitment to our community by helping others.”
