Springfield, Mo — Evangel University is one of 16 private liberal arts colleges and universities in Missouri that will benefit from a $16,000 scholarship grant that Novus International, O’Fallon, Mo., recently provided to the Missouri Colleges Fund.
The grant will underwrite a $1,000 scholarship at each of the 16 MCF schools, which will be awarded by the schools on the basis of financial need to outstanding qualified students majoring in science.
“Evangel University is grateful to be among the recipients of this generous gift to higher education,” said Dr. Robert H. Spence, president. “Many students would not be able to attend college without the assistance of scholarships, and we are indebted to the Missouri Colleges Fund and Novus International for providing resources to educate the workforce of tomorrow.”
The MCF was formed in 1952 as a nonprofit corporation. Its mission is to acquire resources to help educate students at each of the private liberal arts colleges and universities that are MCF members.
Missouri Colleges Fund member schools include Avila University and Rockhurst University, Kansas City; Central Methodist University, Fayette; Columbia College, Columbia; Culver-Stockton College, Canton; Drury University and Evangel University, Springfield; Fontbonne University, Maryville University and Missouri Baptist University, St. Louis; Hannibal–LaGrange College, Hannibal; Park University, Parkville; Southwest Baptist University, Bolivar; Westminster College and William Woods University, Fulton; and William Jewell College, Liberty.
