Evangel University to honor U.S. military veterans

Springfield, Mo — Evangel University will be honoring U.S. military veterans at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 10, in the Chapel Auditorium.

There is no charge for admission and the public is invited to attend.

A special invitation has been extended to all students, faculty and staff who have served in the U.S. military to attend the chapel service. The veterans are encouraged to attend in uniform, and will be recognized for their service to our nation.

Pastor John F. Plake will present a message that will focus on how God helps in times of adversity. In addition, there will be videos of current and former students who have found God’s help to face adversity in military training and conflict.

“We hope that this will be an event that will minister to the entire University community,” said Plake.
