Springfield, Mo — Evangel graduate September Trent ’08 had a book review published in the summer edition of the Journal of Psychology and Christianity.

The review was coauthored with Dr. Geoffrey W. Sutton ’72, who was her faculty supervisor at that time.

The book that was reviewed, Therapy After Terror: 9/11, I, and Mental Health by Karen M. Seeley, addresses the issues that psychotherapists dealt with when counseling victims of the 9/11 attacks. Sutton and Trent reviewed the book from a Christian perspective.

Trent, daughter of Craig and Jan Sherwood of Nevada, Iowa, graduated from Nevada High School in 2004. She earned a degree in psychology and Biblical studies from Evangel University in 2008, where she is currently pursuing her master’s degree in counseling psychology.

Dr. Sutton is a 1972 graduate of Evangel, and his Ph.D. was earned from the University of Missouri in 1981. He taught psychology classes at Evangel from 2002 to 2009.
