Evangel University honors student teachers in induction ceremony

Springfield, Mo — The Evangel University Education Department recently honored 23 seniors for completing their student teaching requirements.
Professors from the Education Department hosted the induction ceremony, and student teaching supervisors from other departments were invited to attend.
“We are so proud of our student teachers and look forward to having them in the teaching profession,” said Dr. Colleen Hardy, education department chair.
The following students were honored during the induction ceremony (does not include students who have not signed a consent to release form):

- Melissa Renee Boles, Henderson, Nev. – Physical Education
- Katherine Damman, Wamego, Kan. – English Education

- Justin Gilmore, Sparta, Mo. – Business Education
- Julia Griffith, Rogersville, Mo. – Music Education

Each of the student teachers was presented with a small gift.
Education majors must complete a semester of full-time student teaching in order to receive their degrees.
