Erin Hefta to perform senior violin recital

Springfield, Mo — Erin Hefta, daughter of Steve and Diane Hefta of St. Charles, Ill., will perform her senior violin recital at Evangel University Saturday, Feb. 6, at 7:30 p.m., in the Barnett Fine Arts Recital Hall.

There is no charge for admission; the public is invited to attend.

Hefta’s performance will be a certificate recital, which requires more than 50 minutes of repertoire.

The program consists of a wide range of music from different time periods and genres, and will include the following:

Partita No. 1 in B minor by Johann Sebastian Bach, Allemande; Double
Romance in G major, Op 40 by Ludwig van Beethoven
Concerto No. 1 in G minor, Opus 26 for Violin and Piano by Max Bruch, Adagio; Prelude
Suite for Violin and Jazz Piano - Trio by Claude Bolling, Romance
Variations on a Theme of Corelli by Fritz Kreisler
Concerto in C major, Op.48 for Violin and Piano by Dmitri Kabalevsky, Andantino cantabile; Allegro molto e con brio

Hefta, a senior at Evangel, is pursuing a degree in music education with a minor in music technology. She is a student of Dr. Larry Dissmore.
