Springfield, Mo — More than 100 volunteers will participate in transforming the Evangel University chapel into the Eurasia Experience on Thursday, Feb. 18, at 10 a.m.

Eurasia Experience is a cross-cultural, multisensory journey that will bring the sights, smells and sounds of Eurasian life to campus. Students will be given the opportunity to step into the shoes of a missionary, walk into a bustling Eurasian marketplace, hear and feel the commotion of a crowded bazaar and listen to monologues depicting the struggles of Christianity in Eurasia’s 44 countries and territories.

Evangel will be observing WorldChangers Missions Week Feb. 16-19 during the 10 a.m. chapel services. Two additional missions-themed chapel services will be held on Tuesday and Friday. There is no charge for admission, and the public is invited to attend.

“We want to bring the campus’ focus toward what God is doing through missions across the world,” said Britnee Leighton, WorldChangers public relations director. “We also want to allow those who have never ventured outside of the United States an opportunity to experience a new world.”

In addition to the themed chapel services, missions agencies and organizations will have displays set up in Crusader Hall (outside the cafeteria entrance) during lunch hours Tuesday through Friday.

WorldChangers is a student organization whose mission is to help Evangel students connect their particular gifts and talents with God’s mission to reach all people with His message of love.
