Business professor elected to Teen Challenge Board of Directors

Springfield, Mo — Elizabeth Fletcher, chair of the Department of Business and Economics at Evangel University, has been elected to serve on the Teen Challenge USA Board of Directors.

Fletcher was also elected to serve as the Board’s secretary for the coming year.

The voting took place during the annual Teen Challenge board meeting held in Tucson, Ariz., January 29 and 30. Fletcher and Stephen M. Calk, Horseheads, N.Y., were elected to the board for three-year terms.

Fletcher started teaching at Evangel in 1981. In addition to serving as chair of the department, she is the SIFE/PBL (Students in Free Enterprise/Phi Beta Lambda) adviser.

She is a member of Delta Kappa Gamma International, serving on the State Personnel Committee. She also serves on the Phi Beta Lambda National Awards Program Committee.

Fletcher’s experience as an entrepreneur and a business professor will be instrumental in furthering Teen Challenge International’s goals of advancing social enterprise development and microenterprise, best practices.
