Teach Grant

The Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grant Program provides up to $4,000 per year to students who intend to teach in a public or private elementary or secondary school that serves students from low-income families. For Undergraduate Students

Federal Pell Grant

The Federal Pell Grant is a federally funded grant program that you do not repay. The amount awarded is based on your federal eligibility and number of hours enrolled at the 100% drop/add period.

Who: Undergraduates (Including Degree Completion) with demonstrated need
How Much: Up to $5,350 per academic year
How Long: While pursuing first undergraduate degree
How to Apply: Complete FAFSA annually
Deadline: No deadline
Other: Amount based on federal guidelines and allocations.

Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)

The FSEOG is a federally funded grant program that you do not repay. It is only awarded to undergraduate students who are Federal Pell Grant eligible and have exceptional need. Once the money is depleted no more awards will be made. Students having filed their FAFSA by April 1 will be given first priority.

Who: Undergraduates (including Degree Completion) with demonstrated need. Must be a Pell Grant recipient.
How Much: Up to $1,000 per academic year as determined by Federal Allocation
How Long: While pursuing first undergraduate degree (excluding Adult Degree students)
How to Apply: Complete FAFSA annually
Deadline: April 1
Other: Subject to availability of funds.

Academic Competitiveness Grant

An Academic Competitiveness Grant is for students who are eligible for a Federal Pell Grant and who had successfully completed a rigorous high school program, as determined by the state or local education agency and recognized by the Secretary of Education. Second year students must maintain a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.0.

To be eligible for each academic year, a student must:

Who: Undergraduates with demonstrated need. Must be a Pell Grant recipient
How Much: Up to $750 for the first full-time academic year of study and up to $1,300 for the second full-time academic year of study
How Long: While pursuing first undergraduate degree (excluding Degree Completion and Adult Degree students)
How to Apply: Complete FAFSA annually
Deadline: April 1
Other: Award based on federal guidelines and allocations.

National SMART Grant

A National SMART Grant is for students who are eligible for a Federal Pell Grant and who are majoring in physical, life, or computer sciences, mathematics, technology, or engineering or in a foreign language determined critical to national security. The student must also have maintained a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.0 in course work required for the major.

To be eligible for each academic year, a student must:

How Much: Up to $4,000 for each of the third and fourth full-time academic years of study
How Long: While pursuing first undergraduate degree (excluding Degree Completion and Adult Degree students)
How to Apply: Complete FAFSA annually

Thomas F. Zimmerman Ministerial Grant

The Thomas F. Zimmerman Ministerial Grant is a need-based grant for dependents of active Assemblies of God licensed/ordained ministers. Need is derived from the information reported on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Form and documentation required annually.

EU Grant

Who: Awarded to full-time students based on academic achievement and need.
How Much: Awards range from $500 to $10,000.
How Long: Renewable for up to four years to students who maintain the required GPA and comply with university standards of conduct. Award remains the same through undergraduate degree except when GPA drops below renewal requirement or student fails to meet stated requirements.
How Do I Qualify: Awards are determined based on information received on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Deadline: Priority is given to those who submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) early. Priority deadline for the FAFSA is March 1.
