Graduate Studies
All scholarship and assistantship applications (pdf) should be received by February 15 for
the following academic year.
Scholarships
Students in the following programs can be awarded yearly scholarships in varying amounts if they qualify: M.A. in Teaching, M.Ed. in Reading, M.Ed. in Educational Leadership, M.Ed. in Secondary Teaching; M.M. in Education, M.M. in Performance; M.S. in School Counseling for public school counselors, and Master of Organizational Leadership. In order to receive a scholarship, students must be full-time, degree-seeking students. Scholarships must be applied for each academic year.
Awarding of scholarships is determined based on a combination of the following factors:
- Superior academic record
- Strong GRE/PRAXIS II scores
- Previous grants, published works, or professional presentations
- Involvement in professional organizations
Assistantships
Students in the Master of Science in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or in School Counseling (specifically for public school guidance counseling) can be awarded a variety of assistantships for both the first and second year of study. Typical assistantships require 10 hours of work per week and provide a 50% tuition reduction. There is no additional stipend. In order to receive an assistantship, students must be full-time and degree-seeking. Assistantships must be renewed yearly.

- Strong GRE/MAT scores
- Previous grants, published works, or professional presentations
- Involvement in professional organizations
