Requirements To Receive Financial Aid
For Summer Sessions
Please read carefully
A Summer Financial Aid Request must be submitted by April 1, 2010 to receive priority processing for summer financial aid. A summer schedule MUST be completed BEFORE a student’s summer aid eligibility can be determined.
In order to qualify for summer financial aid, a student must enroll for at least six credit hours in either session, or a combination of both sessions.
A student must be accepted at Evangel University as a regular degree-seeking student and have maintained Satisfactory Academic Progress.
A current FAFSA (2009-2010) must be on file with the Student Financial Services office. To complete a 2009-2010 FAFSA online, please go to www.fafsa.gov.
New federal regulations will allow students to now receive year-round Pell Grant money if the student is eligible. Eligible students will need to submit a 2010-2011 FAFSA by April 1, 2010 to receive priority processing for summer Pell Grant money. Summer Pell Grant eligibility cannot be determined until spring grades have been received and reviewed. Students will not see Pell Grant money as pending aid for summer sessions.
There are no university-funded scholarship programs available for summer school. There are also no SEOG and Perkins Loan funds available for summer school.
Once the Summer Financial Aid Request Form has been received, the student will be contacted by their Financial Aid Counselor to set up a meeting time to review their summer aid eligibility.
