Major: Biology and Marketing
I want to start my own practice in the states then be a medical missionary and have optometry clinics set up around the world. I want to do optometry and biology is the pre-optometry major here. It has all the prerequisites for optometry school.
It wasn’t too big. I liked the atmosphere when I visited. I had visited some big schools back home, and they just weren’t as welcoming. I didn’t want to leave Evangel. I was ready to get home after going to other schools, but I really wanted to stay here. People were really friendly. I had known a couple of the girls from my home church who attended here. The counselors were very welcoming. Everyone was really friendly.
I am a work study in the Business Department. I also have an academic scholarship.
I like the atmosphere here. I have a really good roommate from Minnesota. I like the classes too. I came from a public high school, but here, teachers care and pray for you.
Being connected to people and the dorms. There’s just a lot more opportunities to be involved.
I’m in SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise), and I serve on one of the committees.
I plan to. I’ve been to Mexico for the last seven summers.
I worked in an orphanage in Mexico, and I’ve been able to see the needs that are there. The countries that I’m looking at for missions work with optical clinics are South American countries, because I know that there is a need for sight.
