Amelia
Amelia Lo never planned to attend a Christian university. She was saved at the end of her high school years and enrolled in a local community college in Hawaii. Halfway through that program she felt an urgency to learn more about her faith so she would be prepared to share it with others — in whatever vocation she would one day choose. Because a friend said Evangel had changed his life, she decided to look into it.
I was fortunate enough to receive the EU Honor Scholarship, a Department Scholarship and scholarships from my church back home.
The people make the difference here at Evangel. Whether students, teachers or staff impact your personal life or the lives around you; this, in turn, creates an impact on eternity.
Walther First South Floor Council. Bed and Breakfast. New Student Orientation. The Homeless Banquet.
Classes have challenged me intellectually and have stretched me spiritually as well. The material that I learn in class helps to launch me into the field of medical social work by integrating theory and practice in my practicum internship.
I would like to be a medical social worker and work in hospitals around the states — and possibly abroad.
Your experience at Evangel is what you make it. Come with an open mind, an open spirit and an open heart to receive all that the Lord and Evangel have to offer. Evangel is a place that I've come to know, trust and believe in. The students, teachers and staff are all part of a community that share in your experience whether it be the triumphs and victories — and even the sorrows and defeats. Although your time at Evangel is but a season, it gives great preparation for many of life's events ahead.
