Since he was a child, Tyler has been certain about two things: He would attend college at Evangel University, and someday he would be an orthopedic surgeon. Now a senior at Evangel, Tyler is well on his way to accomplishing his career goals.
It was not a tough decision to come to Evangel. My oldest brother graduated in 2004. During his time at Evangel I visited him a couple of times, along with a couple Bed and Breakfast visits. This was enough for me to come to Evangel. Evangel is the only placed that I applied.
My major is Biological Chemistry. I can not really pin point a time in my life when I did not want to become a doctor. I pretty much have always wanted to be an orthopedic surgeon, and that is what I am aiming to do.
The best thing about Evangel is that the professors are very personable and down to earth. You can talk to them about anything — it does not have to pertain to school. Also, they are willing to help you academically with whatever you need.
I have been involved in ministry with Convoy of Hope, served as a Bed and Breakfast host for two years, and was involved in a medical service trip to China.
I would love to get married and start a family in the next couple of years. I will be applying to medical school in the spring and hope to get accepted and attend there when the opportunity arises. After medical school I plan on specializing in orthopedics in sports medicine.
I think that a prospective student should come because Evangel is a good place to shape your worldview and fine tune your relationship with Christ.
