A stand-out student who has always excelled academically, Meleah was recently awarded early acceptance to medical school — a rare honor for a med student. This means Meleah, who is preparing for a career in medical missions, will not have to take the MCAT and already has placement at the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, which is part of A.T. Still University, in Kirksville, Missouri. She will start medical school in fall of 2011. For now, Meleah is finishing her undergraduate degree at Evangel, where she is also a cheerleader and serves as president of her residence hall floor. Read Profile»

The first time Matthew stepped foot on the Evangel University campus was the day he moved into the residence halls. Though he was not able to visit campus during his application process, he found Evangel was the university for him by researching Evangel’s online virtual tour, student and faculty profiles, and academic pages. Matthew desires to be a teacher while pursuing God’s call of service, hoping one day to embark in full-time pastoral ministry. When Kelly came to Evangel from Albany, Oregon, four years ago, she knew very little about Evangel, let alone Springfield. Though she was a bit lonely and overwhelmed at first, she jumped right in and followed her love of writing and natural curiosity by applying for a job on the campus newspaper staff. In high school, Cat was persistent about attending a college other than Evangel, but her dad insisted she at least visit EU before she made her decision. After spending three days on campus with a Bed & Breakfast host, she soon felt sure that Evangel University was the right place for her.

Brandon is the son of Assemblies of God missionaries to Belgium. Despite being so far from home, Brandon has found Evangel to be the ideal place to study education and prepare for a future of service to others.
