Tuition Payment FAQ

How do I complete financial registration?

Students complete the registration checklist steps on the portal. Once the billing has been approved by Student Accounts, an E-mail is automatically sent to the student’s Evangel E-mail letting them know they are cleared to proceed with their bill payment.

What kind of payments do you accept online?

Evangel currently accepts payment by VISA, MasterCard,and/or Discover. Students needing to pay via other credit cards or check will need to make a registration appointment through the portal. The Registration Preferences step on the checklist asks the student to choose to financially register online (accept promissory note with no payment due, pay in full or monthly payments) or to set an appointment to complete the registration on campus during the designated registration dates/times.

Can I just sign the paperwork at financial registration and let you bill my parents?

No. All students must be prepared to make payment in full or the initial payment due when they financially register. Parents may make a prepayment to a student’s account by contacting the Student Accounts office.

Do my parents need to be with me at financial registration?

Parents do not need to come. Parents cannot complete the registration for a student because the student must sign the promissory note (online or in person). Students who are not yet 18 years of age will need to register in person with Student Accounts and have a promissory note faxed or sent to the parent for signature.

When do I have to be finished with financial registration?

Financial registration must be completed by the end of the first week of classes for the fall and spring semesters.

What if I haven’t filed my FAFSA yet?

We will only consider the aid that has been approved and shows as a pending award. You will need to make payments or payment in full without any Federal adjustment.

What if I need more funds?

Contact the Financial Aid office for information on additional loans. Loans must be approved and certified before they will be considered as pending aid for the semester.

What if I get additional financial aid after I sign the promissory note?

You must notify the Student Accounts office to 1) adjust your monthly payment amount or 2) suspend your payments if you have enough aid to cover your balance.

If I don’t have any more payments to make, will I get the $25 Deferred Payment Fee back?

The fee will be removed if your balance is paid in full by September 30 for the fall semester or by January 31 for the spring semester.

What is the refund policy?

Will I get a bill?

A financial statement will be sent out each month. The statement will show all transactions on your student account during the previous month. It will also calculate the amount of your next payment based on the account balance the day the statement is printed.

Will you send the statement to my parents?

Financial statements will be mailed to the student’s billing address as selected for “Billing Address Preference” in the Personal Information step of the online checklist. Depending on this selection, the statement will either be sent to the parent at the home address or to the student at the local address.
