Department of Behavioral Sciences — 2015 graduation awards

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Department of Behavioral Sciences at Evangel University has announced its graduation awards for 2015.

The awards were given during the baccalaureate service on Thursday, April 30, in the Robert H. Spence Chapel auditorium.

The following awards were presented:

The Ryan Park Hartje Award for Outstanding Graduates in Behavioral Sciences

  • Cody Keen from Cedar Bluff, Va.
  • Megan Poe from Springfield, Mo.

Outstanding Graduates in Criminal Justice

  • Lauren Bonar from Kansas City, Mo.
  • Ethan Cook from Springfield, Mo.

Outstanding Graduates in Psychology

  • Michaela Grahlman from Macon, Mo.
  • Jessica Schooley from Indianola, Iowa.

Outstanding Graduate in Social Work — Barbara-Ruth Hickey from Killingworth, Conn.

Outstanding Research Graduate in Psychology — Grace Bayer from Fort Calhoun, Neb.

A total of 514 degrees were conferred at the 57th annual Commencement Ceremony for Evangel University on Friday, May 1, 2015. This includes 403 bachelor’s degrees, 73 master’s degrees and 38 associate’s degrees, 33 of which are from EU’s James River Leadership Campus.

In addition, the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary at Evangel conferred 77 degrees during its ceremony on Saturday morning, May 2. Of those, 21 were Ph.Ds. and other doctoral degrees.
