The Social Work Program at Evangel University is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). The program received initial accreditation in February of 1998 and has been reaffirmed until February 2018.

The Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) is a nonprofit national association representing more than 3,000 individual members, as well as graduate and undergraduate programs of professional social work education. Founded in 1952, this partnership of educational and professional institutions, social welfare agencies, and private citizens is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation as the sole accrediting agency for social work education in this country.

North American Association of Christians in Social Work (NACSW) is an interdenominational and international organization which grew out of a series of annual conferences beginning in 1950. In 1957 it became the National Association of Christians in Social Work, and in 1984 adopted its present name. The Association of Baccalaureate Social Work Program Directors, Inc.
The Association of Baccalaureate Social Work Program Directors, Inc. is an association of BSW Program Administrators, Faculty, Field Directors, and others dedicated to the promotion of excellence in Baccalaureate social work education. BPD Membership is open to all social work educators and friends of the profession. Members come from colleges and universities all across the country and work in a number of capacities within university, college, and community systems.
