Athletic Training Education Program Clinical Coordinator

The athletic training education program (ATEP) clinical coordinator (CC) works as a full time faculty member in the Kinesiology Department of Evangel University. The CC works towards acquiring (2014-2015 academic year) and maintaining accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation for Athletic Training Education (CAATE). The minimum education requirement for this position is a Master’s degree and two years of clinical experience. Must be Board of Certification (BOC) certified. Must also have or be eligible for licensure in the State of Missouri.
Start Date: August 1, 2014
Assist the undergraduate ATEP PD in all functions of the entry-level Athletic Training Program; including maintaining CAATE Standards and guidelines
Monitor and review undergraduate clinical evaluations, coordinate clinical education
Teach in the undergraduate athletic training program
Monitor new student application and interview process
Develop, implement, and assess on-going preceptor education with a focus on evidence-based practice
Develop off campus internship program
Provide limited patient care to intercollegiate athletes
