Evangel’s Department of Kinesiology announces 2012 graduation awards

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Department of Kinesiology at Evangel University has announced its graduation awards for 2012.

 The awards were given during the baccalaureate service on Thursday, May 3, in Evangel’s chapel auditorium.

 The following Kinesiology awards were presented:

 Outstanding Graduate in Exercise Science-Pre-Physical Therapy

  • Benjamin J. Boyer from Battle Creek, Mich.

 Outstanding Graduate in Exercise Science-Personal Training

  • Julianna Hudson from Doniphan, Mo.

 Outstanding Graduates in Physical Education

  • Katelyn D. Haymes from Mount Vernon, Mo.
  • Zachary T. Johnson from Springfield, Mo.

 Outstanding Graduates in Recreation

  • Jeremy A. Garten from Springfield, Mo.
  • Ashlee M. Luko from Nixa, Mo.

 The John and Cora Irene Holsinger Award for Outstanding Student in Kinesiology

  • Jonathan W. Bundrick from Springfield, Mo.

 Evangel’s 54th annual commencement ceremony was held on Friday, May 4, at James River Assembly of God in Ozark, Mo. Of those graduating, 87 received master’s degrees.
