Evangel’s Department of Science and Technology announces 2012 graduation awards

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Department of Science and Technology at Evangel University has announced its graduation awards for 2012.

 The awards were given during the baccalaureate service on Thursday, May 3, in Evangel’s chapel auditorium.

 The following Science and Technology awards were presented:

 Outstanding Graduates in Science and Technology

Adam R. Grumke from Blue Springs, Mo.

Nicholas J. Hestand from Lee’s Summit, Mo.

 Outstanding Graduate in Biology—Lauren J. Thorp from Bear, Del.

 Outstanding Graduate in Biological Chemistry—Alyssa A. Ausbury from Pleasant Hope, Mo.

 Outstanding Graduate in Chemistry—Daniel L. Kober from Menasha, Wisc.

 Outstanding Graduate in Computer Information Systems—Joshua O. Cincotta from South Orange, N.J.

 Outstanding Graduate in Computer Science—Jonathan M. Hodges from Hudson Falls, N.Y.

 Outstanding Graduate in Health Care/Nursing—Emily R. Hill from Phoenix, Ariz.

 Outstanding Graduate in Mathematics—Katelin L. Strand from Blooming Prairie, Min.

 Outstanding Graduate in Pre-Medicine—Jaimie D. McCallister from Ozark, Mo.

 Evangel’s 54th annual commencement ceremony was held on Friday, May 4, at James River Assembly of God in Ozark, Mo. Of those graduating, 87 received master’s degrees.
