SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Brian Upton, Evangel University’s Counseling Services director, was a workshop presenter recently at the international meeting of the Christian Association for Psychological Studies held in Washington, D.C.

The presentation was titled Involvement, Influence, and Impact with ACA and APA and outlined a pilot study currently being researched involving how distinctly Christian professionals have benefited from involvement in secular professional organizations.

Upton’s presentation will count as partial fulfillment of qualitative research analysis coursework for his Ph.D. in the counselor education and supervision program at Regent University in Virginia Beach, Va.

Upton began work at Evangel in 2003.
