First Friday at Evangel’s Bellwether Gallery to showcase Noah’s Art

June 29, 2012 | Paul K. Logsdon

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — The First Friday Artwalk for July will include a grand opening event at Evangel University’s Bellwether gallery, featuring student projects from Noah’s Art.

The event will take place July 6 from 5:30 to 9 p.m. and is open to the public. There is no cost for admission.

Evangel University has partnered with Randy Bacon Photo Studio & Art Gallery, in the Monarch Art Factory, to showcase its student, faculty and alumni art projects. The gallery is on Main, just south of College.

The summer exhibit is from students, ages 2 to 15, who take art classes at Noah’s Art. It will include a mix of paintings, sculpture and other crafty projects. Snacks and beverages will be provided at the gallery opening event.

The artwork will be on display the rest of the month of July.

About Noah’s Art

The art center is locally owned and operated by two families of Evangel alumni: Dan and Erika Bojanowski and Jared and Luisa Cooper.

“We’re very excited about partnering with Evangel University and the Bellwether Gallery for this showing,” Dan Bojanowski said. “We love giving these children an opportunity to show off their artwork in a gallery setting, and providing a chance for parents, grandparents and friends to share in that.

“At Noah’s Art, all children are artists, and all children will experience success. It is the mission of Noah’s Art to encourage children to explore their own creativity, experience artistic freedom and success, acknowledge and appreciate differences, and grow in self-confidence and discovery.”

Noah’s Art offers a FREE trial class to new students.  Call 417-889-2779 to schedule a trial visit.
