Evangel University to host music auditions on Monday, Feb. 18

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Evangel University’s Departments of Music and Undergraduate Admissions will host prospective music students and their families for a specialized visit, or “Music Day,” on Monday, Feb. 18.

“We are excited to host these very talented young people on our campus. It is always a highlight to see them involved in our department for the day,” said Dr. Michael Kolstad, music department chair.

The schedule for this event is as follows:

  • 8:45 a.m.— Arrival and Welcome
  • 9 a.m.— Campus tour  
  • 10 a.m.— Admissions / Financial Aid Q & A Session
  • 11 a.m. — College Chat with Dr. Michael Kolstad
  • 12 noon— Lunch
  • 1 p.m.— Auditions Begin

Auditions will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. for prospective students who are interested in gaining entrance to Evangel’s music programs and receiving scholarships.
