Matt Moore to perform graduate trombone recital Thursday, Feb. 28

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Graduate student Matt Moore will perform a trombone recital at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 28, in the Barnett Fine Arts Recital Hall at Evangel University.

There is no charge for admission, and the public is invited to attend.

Moore’s performance will include the following pieces:

  • Sinfonia, by G.B. Pergolesi
  • Movement for Trombone and Piano, by Hidas Frigyes
  • Zürcher Marsch, by Jan Koetsier
  • Sequenza V, by Luciano Berio
  • Sonatine, by Jacques Castérède

Moore will be assisted by Evangel faculty pianist, Dr. Greg Morris.

Moore is adjunct professor of music and he is pursuing a master’s degree in music performance at Evangel University. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in music at Evangel University. Moore, his wife, LaDonna, and their sons, Bennett and Corbin, live in Ozark, Mo.
