Alicia Arevalo to perform percussion recital on Friday, Nov. 22

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. –– Alicia Arevalo, worship leadership major, will perform her senior percussion recital on Friday, Nov. 22, at 7:30 p.m. in the Barnett Recital Hall.

Admission is free and the public is invited to attend.

Arevalo will perform with multiple musicians including the Evangel University Orchestra and EU’s Marching Band Drum Line.

“I’ve even invited my parents and a few friends to accompany me for a short set because they have watched me grow as a musician,” Arevalo said.

Ninja Cadence, written by Cassidy Byars and performed by the EU Marching Band Drum Line

Original Composition, written by Alicia Arevalo and performed by a drum duet

Since joining the music department, Arevalo has been a part of multiple musical ensembles at Evangel University, including university orchestra, concert orchestra, jazz trio, marching and symphonic band, concert choir, chorale and university chorus.

After graduation, Arevalo hopes to get a job as a worship pastor. Locally, she has played drums for worship ministries at Central Assembly of God, Evangel Temple and North Point Church.
