Evangel University releases March calendar of events

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Evangel University has released its March calendar of events for 2014. Events will include a theatre production and multiple concerts. All events are open to the public and will be held on EU’s campus.


Music concerts

Barnett Recital Hall

  • March 14, 7:30 p.m. — Shelby Weir will present her senior voice recital.
  • March 18, 7:30 p.m. — Esther Malone and Cody Yanez will hold a joint sophomore voice recital.
  • March 21, 6 p.m. — Erin Malone will perform her senior voice recital.
  • March 24, 7:30 p.m. — Evangel’s first Artist Series event of the semester will feature the St. Louis Brass Concert. The St. Louis Brass Concert consists of five musicians that travel the country and perform at various universities.
  • March 25, 7:30 p.m. — Immanence, a traveling, student-led worship band, will present its first EU concert.
  • March 27, 7:30 p.m. — Krystelle Arneson will present her senior piano recital.

Robert H. Spence Chapel

  • March 20, 7:30 p.m. — The EU Symphonic Band, under the direction of Dr. Michael Kolstad, music department chair, will perform its first concert of the year. ­­

Seymour Chapel at AGTS

  • March 28, 7:30 p.m. — Amber Alcorn will present her senior worship project. ­­

Theatre production

This semester’s EU theatre production, Oliver Twist, will be held in the Barnett Fine Arts Theatre.

  • March 27 – 7:30 p.m.
  • March 28 – 7:30 p.m.
  • March 29 – 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
  • April 3 – 7:30 p.m.
  • April 4 – 7:30 p.m.
  • April 5 – 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Regular admission tickets are $10. For students, tickets are $7. For groups of 10 or more, tickets are $7 per person. To purchase tickets, visit
