Evangel University Department of Humanities announces 2014 graduation awards

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Evangel University Department of Humanities has announced its graduation awards for 2014.

The awards were given during the baccalaureate service on Thursday, May 1, in the Robert H. Spence Chapel auditorium.

The following awards were presented:

Outstanding Graduates in Art

  • Gabe M. Tenneson from Springfield, Mo.
  • Jonathan C. Wommack from Springfield, Mo.

Outstanding Graduate in Art Education

  • Shayna J. Ranker from Oshkosh, Wis.

Outstanding Graduate in Art Graphic Design

  • Sein Kwon from South Korea

Outstanding Graduate in English

  • Kirsten R. Stricklin from Nashville, Tenn.

Outstanding Graduate in English Education — Lindsey A. Jackson from Lee’s Summit, Mo.

Outstanding Graduate in Spanish — Shari E. Hewes from Freehold, N.J.

Outstanding Graduate in Theatre — Christina A. Jeter from Waxahachie, Texas

Robert J. Greef Award — Aryelle C. Caruso from Oswego, N.Y.

This year, a total of 595 degrees were conferred at Evangel’s graduation, including 337 traditional undergraduate, 76 adult studies and 68 master’s degrees. Also included in the total were 76 bachelor’s degrees from Central Bible College and 38 associate’s degrees from James River Leadership Campus.
