SPRINGFIELD, MO — Easter is early this year and so are the tulips at Evangel University.
Each spring, Evangel officials invite residents of the Springfield area to campus to enjoy the tulips.
“Our bulbs are just starting to bloom, and we thought this would be a great weekend for families to take Easter photos,” said Paul K. Logsdon, director of public relations.
The grounds crew at Evangel planted 18,000 bulbs last fall.
“The tulips in the flower beds facing south are blooming now, and the rest will bloom over the next week or two,” said Logsdon. “Bring your kids and bring your camera — we are happy to share the tulips with our community.
The Evangel University campus is located at 1111 N. Glenstone Ave. in Springfield.
