SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Evangel University marketing major Meredith Kyle was named a Knapp Enactus Student Leader and received a $2,500 scholarship during the Enactus National Exposition in Kansas City, Mo., May 21-23, 2017.

The Knapp scholarship recognizes leadership, teamwork and communication skills developed in Enactus students.

Kyle, a junior from Loveland, Colo., will represent Enactus on campuses and/or at events throughout the 2017-2018 academic year.

“The 62 members of our Enactus team are extremely proud of Meredith receiving this national recognition,” said Bernie Dana, Enactus faculty advisor at Evangel. “She represents the amazing talents, dedication to excellence, and heart for service that made the Evangel University Enactus team one of the top 7% in the nation this year.”

Kyle was selected as one of five finalists who submitted an application, resume, and three written essays on various topics.

The five finalists were personally interviewed by two Enactus Board members and representatives of the Knapp family during the National Exposition. One finalist was selected as the Knapp Enactus Ambassador with a $10,000 scholarship, and four were selected as Knapp Enactus Student Leader with $2,500 scholarships.

Applicants needed to be a sophomore or junior with at least a 3.25 GPA and a recipient of the Enactus 100 Hour Service Leadership Award.
