Published on Oct 2, 2017 by Paul K. Logsdon

The Evangel University Alumni Board of Directors will honor five alumni this week during the Homecoming 2017 Celebration on Saturday, Oct. 7. The alumni awards will be presented during an 11 a.m. luncheon at the Bass Pro White River Conference Center.

“The Alumni Association presents Distinguished Alumnus awards annually at homecoming to honor alumni who have made significant contributions to their chosen field, church, community, state, nation, or to the university,” said Dr. Michael Kolstad, vice president for university advancement.

“The alumni board also recognizes that many young alumni have enjoyed significant achievements in the few years since their graduation, although they may not yet have reached the height of their accomplishments,” he added. “The purpose of the Outstanding Young Alumnus award is to recognize such graduates.”

The Assemblies of God Theological Seminary at Evangel University, is joining the Homecoming 2017 Celebration, and the AGTS Graduate of the Year is being honored at the same time.
