Environmental Science
Minor in Environmental Science
An Environmental Science minor is a good choice for anyone interested in the relationships between humans and the environment. This minor is a good complement to a degree in biology, chemistry or intercultural studies and provides good exposure to integrating one’s Christian faith with environmental studies.
The Evangel University Department of Science and Technology is dedicated to the spiritual, academic and social growth of every student. The department’s purpose is to provide an excellent scientific education that is thoroughly integrated with the University’s emphasis on the development of strong Christian character. Within this framework, students must contend with new scientific, social, ethical and technological challenges. Students learn to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively and exhibit analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
This minor is a great option if you are interested in helping others through the promotion of sustainable environmental solutions but you have chosen to major in another field. This minor provides you with some excellent opportunities to learn how to help provide people with such things as clean drinking water, effective crop practices and health education to improve their lives.
