Psychology in the Church

Pursue your vocational calling to ministry by understanding how the science of human behavior relates to the function of the church.

The role of a pastor or leader in the church often means knowing how to effectively offer support and encouragement to people in crisis. Providing the practical ministry tools with an understanding in psychology, our minor program will help develop your skills so you can help people in trying times.

Our integrated courses offer a holistic view of grief and trauma and how they relate to human behavior. You’ll understand foundational principles of

  • Counseling theory
  • Conflict resolution
  • Effective communication strategies
  • Grief and trauma counseling

In this Christ-centered program, you’ll integrate theology with the best techniques of the “helping professions” to make an impact for the kingdom and fulfill your vocational calling.
