Minor in Public History

Behavioral and Social Sciences

The Public History Minor is one that will prepare students for careers working for local, state, and national agencies, as well as preparing students for graduate studies in public history. Each student will be exposed to museum work, archeology, archival management, resource interpretation, and historic site interpretation. Each student will work in the field with local and regional historic parks, where students will have the opportunity to serve as volunteers and to apply for seasonal and permanent employment.
