Living on a college campus 24-7 is an exciting, life-changing experience that our students love, but they will also tell you that every now and then a little taste of home can make a huge difference in helping them feel grounded. Many Evangel students have come from thousands of miles away and aren’t likely to get the opportunity to visit home more than once or twice during the school year. This can be a difficult life-transitioning experience, especially for first-year students.

That’s why Evangel has partnered with local churches to provide the Adopt-a-Student program. This program helps students transition to college by intentionally connecting them with local Christian families who invite them into their homes about once a month and make an effort to connect with them throughout the school year.

Interested students and families fill out online profiles that help match them together. Then families are notified by Evangel’s Community Life office that they have been matched with their adopted students.  Students will be contacted by their new family.

We are now accepting applications from interested host families. Sign up and make a difference in a college student’s life today.
